Converted VOB Files

To save disk space I've converted some VOB files to mpeg and would like to share them with everyone, but the only way of getting them would most likely be DC++ unless someone would host them for me. I currently only have 3 converted files which are: Moi... Lolita & Gourmandises - Tubes D'un Jour (10-26-2001), Alizée - FanDe Boat Interview, and Alizée - 2001-10-21 - Performance - Gourmandises - Vivement Dimanche.

Also If someone would like to send me a VOB file they want me to convert just tell me and i would be more than happy to. I can convert them to mpeg1, mpeg2, and AVI but if you would like something else just tell me and ill see what i can do.

Hope I can do some good with this by saving people some disk space and maybe showing people some vids they havent seen. :thumbup:

how much bigger are VOB files to MPEG files?

yeah, how much compression are we talking here?
cuz my Alizée HD just ran under the 500mb mark

Well lets see here Moi... Lolita & Gourmandises - Tubes D'un Jour (10-26-2001) went from 341 mb to 92.4, Alizée - 2001-10-21 - Performance - Gourmandises - Vivement Dimanche went from 171 mb to 48.7, and Alizée - FanDe Boat Interview went from 136 mb to 48.7 which averages to a savings of about 152.8 mb per vid. :D So i would say thats pretty good, I saw about 25 VOB files In one persons file list on DC++ so he/she would be saving about what...3820 mb. :shock:

Yea some people are and some arnt but for instance me, Im always struggling for space , trying to see what I can do to gain some and I know some people were are in the same situation on here so why not share.

lol, i'm going to buy the parts (with a bit of financial aid) and build it myself
I've been waiting for this moment for all my life.... :P
but if i get enough "aid" (from parents) then I could build a really nice computer for myself
with plenty of space for "various types of media" as i put it to my parents :p

Cool, I myself are planning to build my own computer the only problem is money and I dont have enough of it. Not even good ol bargin hunting would do but besides that Im all set.
