I just downloaded a DivX on kazaa... and I have a few questions:

1) What is this star search-esque competition?
2) Is that "Mylene Farmer" who is helping her?
3) Who feels the funk of that song! I mean, it's like the definition of POWER! W00t! Anyways, what's the name of that song? Danke!

Just checking up on the other part to this site according to this,

"In the summer 2000, Mylène discovered the young and talented singer, Alizée. Mylène Farmer wrote the lyrics for the young singer and released her first single 'Moi...Lolita',"

If she was 15 at this competition.. And that lady is Mylene, then this could change the year back sooner.

The song is called "Waiting for Tonight"

I'd upload the mp3 but my upload-pc doesn't work :-/

I'm not sure I quite understand which file you have there, Joseph. What exactly is the name of the file? Alizée was indeed 15 years old when she participated in the Star Search-esque show ("Graines de star"), but Mylène was never there on the show. She sang part of "Waiting for Tonight" in her audition and "Ma prière" and "O Happy Day" in her Graines de star appearances.

And the bio in the fanpage isn't technically correct  ; it was earlier in the year 2000 when Mylène (and Laurent) discovered Alizée, but it was during the summer when "Moi... Lolita" hit the airwaves.

yeah, i've seen a small clip of her auditioning with "Waiting for tonight" in a tv feature/interview

and she returned to perform on graines de stars after Moi...Lolita was released as well

I liked that song she sang ^^) Well, does anyone who have it know who that lady sitting there with the big hair and helping her ? She is her supporter or something, because they're both mouthing the lyrics.

Oh, and I renamed it becuase it was like 128417841#@$%# (1)22 or something along those lines when I D'L it from Kazaa, but 15 is there, and DIVX wil eb in the title too. :cheesy:

Ah OK, now I think I know what you're talking about  . That was her rendition of "Ma prière", originally by Axelle Red, on the "Graines de star" show that aired on January 26, 2000. The person with the big hair is Larusso, a French singer who was one of the invited guests for the show, and one of the many who liked Alizée from the beginning.

hehe Mark has a lot of Alizée wisdom...even more now he's officially become

'The Translator'

Yeah and hey who wouldn't like lili from the start? :D and her Ma Priere performance is so cool...so young yet she pulls it off so well and her voice is stunning at such a young age

Everything has been already said by Mark heh. Only to add that she sang Ma priere twice, one when she won the show and two, when she went again invited for having won the previous one. In this last show, she was 2nd. So if you see the same performance with two different outfit, don't worry XD

hehe, that confused me a while ago
one time she's wearing one thing, the next she's wearing this camo outfit
yeah, it took me a lil while to figure that one out...

Nearly fainted when I saw Larusso for the first time. :cheesy:

LOL@ Artszfar!!

Well, she DID support Alizée and anyone who knew she would become so legendary from the beginning, like I would have:/
Sometimes I wish I could go back in time and become friends with her, and not tell her what is going to happen, but watch it unfold and help her along the way:) I could come to every performance! :cheesy:
