Obsession... It's alright? She Isn't another BRITNEY SPEARS

My friends tell me I'm obsessed... They give me things to argue with her, like one time, he said she was another Britney Spears. The whole story is here, and I need help on what to make of all of this, as it all has happned so soon but I really do love everything Alize'e... In my Journal you will see I eventually put her to the status of a Goddess (call me weird:( ) and I had a few dreams of the times (the first paragraph of the latest post shows this). Please give me advice, and I come to you guys because you do not hate her because "She doesn't even play a guitar" as I tell them "I was in Choir for 2 years... Your voice can be the ultimate instrument" and as he tells me she is nothing more than a Britney Spears clone I know in my heart she nothing compared to this... please, all I can ask you to do is read my Journal from the past few days and help me out. Thanks.

I have seen it well over 20 times and each time I am captivated by the way she puts her entire spirit, mind and body into it. I don't care if people are obsessed with anything as long as they are aware of the consequences. Obsession feels great, but it makes life REALLY hard. The more someone is obsessed with something, the farther away his sense of reality becomes. Alizee is not the most important thing in the world. What about things like food, water, family, knowledge? Alizee herself would agree to that.

But to a person who is obsessed, somethings become exagerated to him. He sees his obsession as the most important thing and will do things he thinks are good to fulfill that obsession when in reality he will only be putting himself further into that obsession. This is why so many alchoholics become bums. Alchohol becomes the most important thing to them.

The safest life is a balanced one. In a life where you are not too attached to one particular thing, you will find that there will be no periods of extreme depression. This also means that there will no longer be anymore "high"s, but it is worth it.

Don't become obsessed with something just because it feels great. See what the pros and cons are and weigh them objectivly to know if this obsession will hurt you or help you. You will find that most obsessions will hurt you because it is not healthy to live off extremes. A healthy life would be one in which Alizee has a big part but not too big of part.

I think most of the forum members agreed with me on this one but decided that the obsession was worth it anyway, which may be true for their particular personality but not for mine. The most important thing is to look before you leap.

I adore Alizée .. yes her and Britney are nothing alike.... Not that there is anything wrong with Britney Spears. She has had a very very hard life, and worked sooooo hard to get where she is today. I have seen documentrys on Britney from a child growing up in the music business.. and she has had it tough.. real tough. Getting rejected by big recording studios.. travilling 500 miles on a daily basis to dance classes at the age of 14. Attending hundreds of auditions to get noticed.. Now, she is a star and made it and sings fantastic songs. I think she is still one of the best.

I think Britney takes the singing thing as not the main point, and bases her promo on trying to be on topic of conversations all the time in the media, and trying to be polemical in her videoclips, for example, or with her private life. Nowadays, when most of the pop commercial music we can listen to is very similar, that polemical stuff makes the difference to sell cd's, which is the only goal of course.
Alizée's career doesn't play with that, and the most polemical thing you can find is the well-known double senses, which sometimes make no sense heh.

About the obsessions, I guess that each one has an own definition about it.

I just figured that out. Let me give you an example.

I am not obsessed with Alizée. To the outsider it would seem like that, but not to those who understand love and know when someone is truly in love; not because of the music or because someone is famous, but because they simply fell in love.

Because Lili is famous, it is hard for me to approach her and say to her how much I truly care for her and love her, even though I have never met her. But I know her; I know who she is for me because she is the one I "saw" before she became famous; and let's leave it at that.

This is not obsession. If I saw her and she would not be famous and rich I would have the same feelings for her because my feelings and sentiments are not a result of material things; or anything that does not precede love. Because she is famous is the reason why I suffer so much; and for those who do not understand or choose not to agree, who cares; like I said, your beleifs do not precede my love. My love precedes everything outside of itself. That is why everything else fails to quantify.

This problem will surely stay with me, and no one will ever understand it, who has not first sat down with me and talked to hear me. Either way, I do not care what others believe. You do not want to be in these waters for you do not have an inlkling of what lies lurking beneath.
