View Full Version : Alizée's beauty secrets.

I just found on the forum gallery from Fandebeaute a statement, supposed to be from Alizée, on her beauty secrets. If someone who knows French better than I (most of you) can tell me more, I'd appreciate it.

How could she possibly have any beauty secrets to share? If women could go out and buy a product or do an exercise so they would look like Alizée, that would be an amazing discovery. I think Alizée is unique in our time. Her beauty comes to Earth once every many hundreds of years.

Has anyone out there met anyone close to her beauty?

...HAHAHA...ummm...let me think....No. Again though, her beauty goes FAR beyond her physical beauty...she is truly incomparable to anybody in this world (don't quote me on this...this is MY opinion for all you hardcores out there...), to have such a beautiful heart and soul....at the same time physical beauty that might far exceed that of Helen's...for whom so many Greeks and Trojans and others died for.

Ask and ye shall receive:

"My beauty secrets"

With skin delicately tanned by the sun, a figure one can only dream of, sculpted by years of dance, and a dear little lolita face, cute as a button, Alizée is a model for millions of adolescent girls and a feminine ideal for boys. With such an ambassador, you can understand why Corsica is nicknamed the "Island of beauty"!

What do you say when you see yourself in the mirror in the morning?
A: I cry out "Oh my god!" After waking up, sometimes I have puffy eyes when I haven't slept well.

What's your first "beauty" act in the morning?
A: I splash cold water on my face. That wakes me up and it gets rid of the little pillow marks on my face! I redo my hair as well because I often wake up with my hair all ruffled.

What's your secret for keeping your figure?
A: I have no secret for keeping my figure. I don't keep an eye on what I eat. I don't deprive myself of anything and I eat everything in reasonable amounts. That's the best diet!

Do you keep yourself on a diet?
A: No, I don't follow a weight-loss diet. Instead, I reduced my intake of red meat. I've almost eliminated beef from my diet; I don't like it. I eat poultry, essentially chicken, and lots of fish, I just love it. Sometimes I'll also eat a little pork.

What do you like about your physique?
A: My nose! People often ask me if I had plastic surgery. I didn't go under the knife; it's my real nose! I'm lucky to have a nice, straight, slim little nose. It fits me very well!

What would you change about your physique?
A: My feet. I don't know why, but I don't like them.

Do you play sports regularly?
A: Yes, I've done dance since I was little. I've been practicing thai boxing religiously for several months. That makes me work on my breathing. It's really cool for getting me ready for the stage! I suffer from back problems, I have a very arched back, which prevents me from running or jumping. To burn lots of calories, I dedicated myself to this discipline. I take classes with a private teacher. He's not allowed to hit me because I'm afraid of hurting myself, so I'm the one who hits. I'd rather not go on TV with a black eye! When I'm in Ajaccio, I train almost every day. Also, this combat sport allows me to better manage my stress.

What kind of mature woman would you prefer looking like later on?
A: She's still young, but it'd be Monica Belluci. I think she's really beautiful and feminine. I really like her femme fatale side. I think she's fascinating, and she exudes a lot of sensuality.

Are you afraid of growing old?
A: I don't want to become an adult; I'd like to stay a teenager my whole life!

What's in your makeup kit?
A: There's gloss, mascara, rouge, a comb, and a mirror. I barely use any makeup. When I'm on TV, I'm required to wear it. In everyday life, I prefer to look natural.

Do you believe in the power of anti-wrinkle creams?
A: No, not really. I'm still very young, so I don't worry about all that. Having said that, certain women wear their wrinkles very well. That doesn't surprise me. On the contrary, it's quite natural.

What's your one weakness?
A: It hasn't changed; it's always been candy! I love it.

How often do you go to the hairdresser and beautician?
A: I go to the hairdresser once a month because my hair grows quickly. It seems it's a sign of good health. I only have the tips cut. During the summer, I'll have some strands lightened or highlighted red. I go to the beautician every two months to have my eyebrows plucked and for facial care.

For or against plastic surgery?
A: It depends. If it's to pin your ears back, I'm for it! If your goal is to look like a Barbie doll, I'm against it. When I see what's become of Michael Jackson, it upsets me.

Are you allergic to any beauty products?
A: I was a little worried at the very beginning of my career. I had red spots appearing on my face. They itched. I thought I was allergic to the foundation that I was using. Actually, my skin couldn't handle it when they rubbed my face with those big sponges. Since then, we've been using softer ones.

Do you bite your nails?
A: I stopped biting them several months ago. It didn't make my hands look very pretty, but I couldn't help myself. I even nibbled on press-on nails! When I was in the studio, I was very stressed, but now, I handle the pressure better.

Among all your looks, which one do you prefer and which one do you like the least?
A: I have a preference for the Jean-Charles de Castelbajac-labeled white dress that I wore on TV when I sang my single "Gourmandises". I had worn a big belt with the inscription "Miam Miam" [Yum Yum] and big white boots. The outfit that I like the least is the satin ensemble that I put on to sing "L'Alizé". It looked like a pair of pyjamas!

Which beauty products do you have that you can't do without?
A: I would never do without my apple-cinnamon Tahiti shower gel. I love the scent. Also, my deodorant, my transparent gloss, and my Sisley brand cucumber hydrating cream.

Wow cool, thanx for the translation.

Admittedly, i used to wonder at times if she had anything done to her nose at a young age. I mean they looks SO perfect. But im glad this interview put that to rest. Silly me for even doubting her natural beauty.

As far as most beautiful person in the world, im not so sure(im also a bigtime Natalie Portman fan :? ). But I'll be damned if there's a person alive that can outcute our Alizée!

Many have tried, and all failed miserably, most notably Amina the anti-cute and her ugly stepsisters, the CPM (Chavel, Pavel, Melanie). (see photos below)

Yes amina tried and failed .. id say it was the biggest PWNAGE in history.. She had to keep looking up cause the OutCuting Power Was much to Powerful.

There is this saying that every person has his or her mistakes.
I never managed to find any mistakes in Alizée.
Now reading this interview, and reading her own thoughts about her mistakes i can only smile. These are no mistakes. 8)

Alizée doesn't need any of that shit, as you know i'm sure ;) but she looks so amazing and divine without it.... it's such an amazing thing to see her without make up and seeing how she still shines brighter than the brightest star... There's no-one that comes even close to Alizée, see has such an amazing natural look, and me, being a naturefreak and all, i believe that nature really does have it's miracles, and she's one of themç I believe in nature, not God, and i believe that nature made her this beautiful, nature itself is beautiful too, and i'm honoured to know, that it shared it's beauty thru a person, and that's her

Rihgt now, when im thinking of jpva dance - she seemed alright, and thats a pretty jumpy dance if you ask me. So maybe her backproblems are over for now, its an old interview.

As natural as mother nature's creations.

And about her back problem, I hope it isn't serious.

Thanks for the interview and translation. It's one of the cutest and best interviews I've read. She has that real natural beauty. Nothing artificial.

6th June 2004, 16:20
Aye, I've also admitedly admired her nose. I never thought she had anything done to them though. The other is her eyes, at first I thought it was dark brown.. but then it was something else.

She is one of the very few who does not need an extensive amount of make up to look good. I wish I was her mirror! (if she doesnt like her feet I'll gladly take them)

However, its amazing the numbers of people who like Alizee seem to be liking Natalie Portman. These two share qualities together that I cant pinpoint which. I am also a big NP fan. MY Natalie =P

Great translation Mike. She seems like a fun person to hang out with.

belefuu
6th June 2004, 18:17
I would guess that her back problems only refer to serious running and jumping, like sprinting, or playing a sport like basketball, soccer, etc.

Oh, and yeah masCh, Natalie is great too =)

I wonder how are things with swimming. Must be hard if you live near the ocean and still cannot swim in it.
=/
That brings me to my next point - I have seen photos of her doing many things, that a person with a hurted back couldnt do. So what caused that to her? When did it happen? Was it maybe an accident?

alizeeTinkerbell
7th June 2004, 14:39
dw guys its probobly nothing serious.. no need to worry

Jaycubed
7th June 2004, 16:50
But when u care u do worry, i mean i'd hate to think there are things she wants to do but she can't or won't cos it hurts too much

i just hope it doesn't hurt a lot and that it's less of a problem than it was at the time of the interview

Yeah and when you see her she doesn't look in discomfort really but well y'know, we care and i don't wanna think that Alizée ever has to feel any discomfort

Lycan Master
8th June 2004, 21:07
i'm sure she doesn't... i have e weak back as well (heh another thing in common...) but i still play footie, go climbing, swim, ski etc..... Sometimes it just snaps and i'm in pain for most of the day/week but oh well, that doesn't happen too often so if Alizée has the same, she's still able to do most things, she can still live her life to the fullest, no worries

I don't think her beauty secrets are possible to share. No matter what another woman wants to do to change herself, it won't work. Alizée started out beautiful, any addition is just for show, not necessary.

Jaycubed
13th June 2004, 18:46
ah that's right lhfu, Alizée's beauty is so deep and so total, she is naturally beautiful in every single way, outside and inside. In everything she does. It's not something that anyone can ever have. She is Alizée, unique forever

Yes - start out beautiful, keep active (the way she dances), stay in love (with me, if possible - but she doesn't know I exist  ), enjoy what you do. That's the secret. It is hard to share. It doesn't come in a make-up kit.
