Her new CD will be different. I can tell that from the new songs I have heard from her. "Better" is an opinion. If she records what I have been hearing and more like it, then it will be a good CD. I will buy it. Until she records a CD that is useless crap, I will love to hear her. I don't think that will happen.

Oh man of course i'll support her, and i believe in Alizée and i have faith that her next album will be totally supreme again. Because it's Alizée. And so many times already she's made songs i never thought i'd like, so special to me. And i know that whatever she does she'll try her best and will put everything into it. But in theory, which is all it is...I will ALWAYS support Alizée, in everything

of course i'll support her, and i don't doubt her next album will rock man!!! Sure it'll be a bit different, but then again, every artists albums sound a bit different, otherwise there's no point in releasing a new album.... Whatever her new album sounds like, it'll be in my collection first day it comes out!!!!! and i'll buy multiple copies of it, as i always do....

My support for ALizée is not material in any way - meaning that it does not rely or depend on her talent being satisfactory. If her next album bombs, it will have no bearing on my love and support for her. I'm loyal to the end, as I'm sure many people here would be also. Yes, I will always support her, no matter what. Albums come and go as does popularity, but Alizée is not expandable; she will always remain Alizée. :D

You've had "hey amigo," and she has sung english versions of her songs, too; now it's time for an Italian version, seeing how she is popular in Italy and loves visiting Florence. I hope ALizée reads this post
I sometimes wonder if Alizée ever visits this forum under a disguise and starts posting for fun; is it possible. Just imagine: any one of us could be Alizée or could have spoken with her and not even have know it. 8)
By the way, I'm not Alizée . . . . . or could be . . . . . . . but I'm not! :? hahaha

i've never even seen her in real life and she's effected me so much
something like that can't be taken away by just an unsatisfactory album
Yeah, it is strange that she hasn't done an Italian song yet. I remember reading somewhere that she knows some Italian.

cheers mate 8) . Right on the money. I will not stop supporting her just because she comes up with a bad album or something (EXTREMELY unlikely...her talents simply prevents that from happening :)), buying her album is the least i could do in turn of what she has given me thus far...meaning of life in its entirity.

If you put it that way :D which i know you have before...but of course whatever i'll buy her album and i'll support her whatever. And Italian songs, english songs..Spanish songs...maybe, you never know. But then French is Alizée's language and i'd very much hope the majority of songs on the 3rd album are French.

Alizée already has the winning formula of making a great album. If she can repeat what she did for both albums for her third album, especially the first, her third album will be a chart topper. I will still support her no matter what.
Nah well, I said the Spanish song thing just cos I would like it a lot, but if she had to sing in every language each of us would like, then the new cd would have to include one hundred songs lol

Though, I'm Italian, I would very much like her to record French albums, only. She could include one song in a foreign language, but no more than that.
I do not want her to get Americanized, so the less english the better. Sorry guys. Hope you understand what I mean (It's not the U.S., but the people in the business that are scoundrels)

yes we will support Alizee in the good and bad moments , a proverb summarize we will support against all odds
and respect the languages all the languages are beautiful and i think that alizee singing in any language and performing in any stage have your own light .
It is one of these "what if " situations that will never (most probably, that is) happen.
But hmm... if it would happen somehow, then of course i will also support her.
And hey, these are not just some random words / cliche or whatever. I really mean it.
The thing with italian language is, that it doesnt have a large target audience (other than the italians themselves of course) - but still, She is selling french music and She has some hits in the most widely spoken language (english) too. So my guess is, that Mylene with all her rational thinking wont do italian lyrics.
But then again - Italy is very dear to Lili, so who knows...

Yeah, it is strange that she hasn't done an Italian song yet. I remember reading somewhere that she knows some Italian.
Well, she doesn't and you can see it in the Italian MTV interview. What's more she never really fancied English at school and that's why she doesn't know it much. She repeats in several interviews that she doesn't like singing in langauages she doesn't know (she meant English) because she can't get enough feeling into the song. She started to take English lessons but she will probably avoid singing in English because, apart from the above, she can't get rid of her French accent, as she says.
Anyway, the immense appeal of her performances owes much to the fact that they are in French. Firstly, i find French rather sexy. Secondly, French carries many positive associations such as elegance, class, sophistication, subtlety... Thirdly, as a language relying principally on vowels it is particularly appropriate for singing. Finally, since we mostly don't understand the lingo enough we give the lyrics "the benefit of doubt" and read our own senses into them. Personally, i wouldn't like her to sing in any other language. That would take away some of her charm, that she's been sadly damaging by her new "punk" look (apparently influenced by Jeremy) but this is a subject for another thread.

French is Alizée's language and she sounds so amazing singing in French, but then well of course she has a strong accent when she sings in english but if anything that only makes it more cute...she speaks English more beautifully than i've ever heard anyone speak it before.
And we will see what the composition of the songs on her next album will be when it's out...but i don't mind if it's all French or a mixture as long as Alizée is comfortable and happy with it

15th June 2004, 07:54
i used to know sign language, but it kinda faded by now....
it's a little late, but i'm from the USA, and even our spanish language system sucks
I agree that the US education system doesn't take language very seriously either. It had to be heavily pushed for legislation to require foreign languages.
I take french at school, quite seriously, but not that many people take language at all seriously. If anyone learns a single foreign language, it's a big deal. 3 is very rare, and any more than that is unheard of.
I know english because I kinda live in an English-speaking environment
i know Chinese (mandarin) uhhh.... just because....
French is due to school, but my school abnormally (in the USA) pays attention to the arts and language, so the language program here is actually pretty good.
I really wish, from a language aspect, that I was raised in a country with multiple non-english dominant languages. Knowledge of multiple languages really helps you in the long run, and is also proven to make your mind able to learn better.

(I meant to quote Jaycubed so you'd know where this was coming from.) Jaycubed:"And it's funny how english and Americans are so ignorant towards other languages that a huge majority of people don't know another language when they leave school...i suppose that's because English is such a huge dominating language, but still..."
This is a possible explanation, not an excuse:
I think one of the reasons there are so few people in the US who speak another language is because the country is so big and diverse. We can travel thousands of kilometers and still be in the US. That can't be done in Europe - you end up in a different country.
I also think there is an air of arrogance in the US that leads people to assume that others must learn English since the US is so powerful.
Both reasons are bogus, of course. The Hispanic community in this country is growing, we should be learning Spanish from the beginning of school.
(If I had known about Alizée, I would have wanted to learn French. I live close enough to Canada to use that as an excuse as well.)

Alizée is enough of an excuse. She is the ultimate reason for learning French.

yeah totally if you couldn't be motivated before than surely Alizée is the ultimate reason to learn such a beautiful language...
and lhfu, i believe that only 4% of all Americans have a passport, which explains the insularity, but then America is a continent in a country many people see no reason to go elsewhere

I would call Alizée a great motivation or reason to learn french, but I still don't see why you need an "excuse" to learn the language
makes it sound like French is a bad thing
or maybe I'm just taking this too far myself
*cools off*
sorry guys
(I'm one of 4%!! that makes me about...... 1 of 8.72 million!! woot!)

wow The One... you scared me there... not that I despise rock THAT much... just like Alizée style of singing, and heavier influence on geetars will make it harder for me to hear Alizée's sweet, sweet voice.

Well actually pop...in some kind of subtle way she might be, without her knowing of course
Ayan

To be honest though, i think She should know about it. ( That is, if She already doesnt)
I remember Her saying, that since most of Her fans like the french songs more, then thats making Her also happy. Among other reasons, its because She likes the idea of spreading the french language in various parts of the world. I for my part, support that idea fully, and am trying to do my best here, this side of the screen.

Hey AKMS you speak like Ivan / Igor Dolvich from Jagged Alliance 2 game. Do you play that game? Nyet? both are Russians :cheesy:
AKMS
29th June 2004, 00:58
Yes, of course I play.. Great game.. Waiting for 3rd JA... But I play in Russian version and I don't now how both of them spoke
It's really hard to understand my english? or maybe you talking about accent... :D
Unfortunately that are such stereotypes about Russian military officers.. everybody think they only drink vodka and shoot everybody... If developers of the game would know for example some GRU officers they be shocked having learned that these military men have two higher educations and they know some foreign languages in perfection..
