View Full Version : Wisdom Teeth

Sonofabitch. I had my lower left wisdom tooth removed today. I'm in a great deal of discomfort. I'm still bleeding too, despite it being several hours later. Guess I'm not biting the gauze hard enough. Can't tell, cause my jaw is still numb from the novacaine.
Anyway I started humming Alizee in order to not concentrate on the bits of tooth and bone he was pulling from my throbbing jaw. It's kinda weird listening to yourself hum J'en ai marre and notice how all the shrieks of pain incorporate themselves into the melody.
I think my dentist should have a monitor set up on the ceiling that way I can watch Lili vids while he pulls the other three out at some undetermined future date.
That was my day. Thank you Alizee. You made it ... less unbearable. :P

Mine all grew in one at a time, and each time it was annoying and painful as hell, for a couple weeks each time. It would always push the gums up and out that used to be there, and I couldn't even close my jaw for a week or two. But luckily, they're all straight, so no need to remove them.

Bah, then you're a lucky. Not only do I have to get the other three removed, it'll probably be the same way... instead of pulling the tooth out at once, he'll cut away a portion at a time. God damn...I'm going to need to bring my Mp3 player to distract me. I think I left marks on the chair handles because I was gripping them very hard. White knuckled!

Half of my wisdom teeth have come out and they're crooked and push my other teeth around. But other than that, they don't cause any pain or discomfort so I haven't removed them.

Are you sure you even needed it? My dentist tried to get me to do it, but then I pressed him for proof of why I needed it done, since they felt fine to me, and it turned out he had no reason to recommend it. Other than more money for him.

Eh good question. Showed me x-rays and I guess they're going to push outward and change the orientation of my rear molars. They're growing in sideways.

I haven't been to a dentist for about 16 years. I guess I should go one day.

I should go to dentist, too. Still got all 4 wisdom teeth and they simple don't have room to fit in my mouth... They are impossible to wash, so, they got HUGE holes in them! :(
The lower ones are in so bad place that they needs to be surgically removed. That's what they said last time I visited dentist (~6 years ago). :(

Mine are starting to come in. They don't hurt yet, so hopefully I dont have to get them removed. My bastard dentist will probably pull them anyway. He wanted me to get braces because one tooth was a tad bit off. I told him ill live with one tooth a little off.

Hehe.. Kinda same story. Back in grade 3 or so, my dentist wanted to pull out two of my teeths because upper front teeth are little bit off. Like hell I let him do that... Now over 15 years later, they still fits just nicely.
For my cousin they pretty much forced braces (she was too weak to say no and believed the bs from the dentists). Nowaways, her teeth are more off than they were before. Thanks to those braces...

Haha, I still have a milk tooth left  There is no tooth coming under it that pushes it away so it will stay where it is! And no problems with wisdom teeths yet, and I hope I will never have any problems with that  I've heard that it hurts like hell!

Yeah I have Three but only now are they starting to be a problem.
They hurt like a bitch when they come through though, No wonder little babies cry when they have all of their teeth growing.
I'm wondering about having just one taken out, is it worth it?
It hurts and makes me bite my cheek.

I have been never pulled out any tooth from my mouth,my teeth are very firm.I think your American diet contributes your teeth ache.Yeh,your diet contains too much sugar and fat, that is not good for health.

I don't think these people are from america, mostly Europe. Alizee is not big in America like she is big in europe.I say maybe about 0.05% of Americans even know her.(maybe less)

I think your missing the point of this thread no one is complaining about tooth decay or poor diet here. The thread is about Wisdom Teeth. Teeth, which usually come through after your adult teeth have.

Wisdom teeth do not occur because of eating too much sugary or fatty foods, they are known as third molars and are the last teeth to erupt, usually at ages 17 to 25. Anyway, brushing your teeth regularly should prevent tooth decay even if you eat those foods. Wisdom tooth problems affect many people, not just Americans.

Well, from the last page before your post the two people PayBays and Henrik were from Europe, so there's the mix up.
Yes, I'm born in Singapore, not sin. Singaporeans speak mainly English, but Mandarin is also spoken, but not as much as English.
