I don't know if any of you guys watch the rallying but I do, and the rally of France is coming up soon (starting 16th october). Obviously its in Corsica but do you think Alizee will be at it? Perhaps she will be performing like she did at the tour de france! Its a long shot but im gonna record all the tv coverage of it just in case :D :D Hopefully I can go to watch it sometime because I'd really like to go to Corsica, it seems like a nice place.

Corsica Rally is nice asphalt rally. Marcus Grönholm will take his first or hopefully second asphalt victory there. Panizzi is always good on asphalt but this rally will be Grönholm's. Go Grönholm!! Go Peugeot!!

I also wish very well to Marcus but at the moment he unfortunately wont fight for his own.He said the most important is the team title.And i think it will be very hard to win on tarmac. Many drivers won this season so i cant foresee the results.Probably Burns will be on the podium:)Maybe Loeb?Hes in a great form and Sollberg as well.Who knows?But i also cant wait for them...

And the main service of the rally is located in Ajaccio.Maybe Alizee will honour with her appearance all the fans?

Richard Burns is not very good driver especially on asphalt. Grönholm can drive fast on both surfaces. Panizzi and Loeb are fast on asphalt.

Marcus will win the rally, no doubt about that. The battle for the second place is gonna be hard,between loeb, panizzi, sainz and maybe McRae. Solberg and Märtin will fight hard with rovanperä and mäkinen for the places a bit down (5-8).

Yeah Sainz is in great form this season and has a big chance to get the title.
Changing rules caused the championships became very interesting.About 6 drivers have still the chance to win.One of the favourites in the coming tarmac races is also Panizzi-the asphalt king-but after back injury last season his form is not the greatest.Its a pity Puras isnt competing.He is also very fast on tarmac.
As u probably heard Colin was fired by Citroen bosses.Unfotunately so good driver probably wont start in next season.He said he wont compete in weak teams.Is this his end?I hope not...

In Finland we call him "Kilin' Colin McRae", because he can't stay on the road.
I think it is boring that Hyundai will take a break. They will return 2006. There is too few car makes in WRC. I would like to see Audi and Lancia returning to the WRC.

Colin is always pressing pedal to the metal and thats why his accidents are always spectacural.The rule letting the teams having only 2 drivers is annoying.So many drivers will be fired...Hyundai takes a break?One more team wont compete in wrc series.Thats a pity.But mitsubishi is returning unfortunately without alister.Few years ago withrawed seat now hyundai so the amount of wrc cars is tightening up...Lancia delta integrale, Audi quatro and peugeot 205 were superb cars without power limit.Drivers almost couldnt control those monsters...

Yes todays cars are full of electronics but also nowadays there is a need to be skilled for example Marko and Petter.One of them can be even champion this year...Old crew slowly is retiring.Pity to Tommi-hes not that old but lack of motivation and successes-the same to Hakkinen:(

I have heard that Colin McRae is trying to start a own team that would drive in the championship. He would make it a family team cause the other driver would be his brother, Alistair. He has not yet got the permission I think, but he is trying really hard to get it before the next season starts.

Or is all this just rumors??

Peugeot is the best. 206 is now a bit old and Focus is very good. New Peugeot 307 WRC will be new winnig car. I don't understand what is wrong with Panizzi. He doesn't drive as fast as he should. And Loeb has been fast during this season. If he wins he'll have 55 points just like Burns has now.

right now, my favourite for the championship is a Citroën driver, Loeb or Sainz. Why? Because the txo following rallies are Corsica and spain and in both ground is asphalt. Citroën is the best in asphalt.

Ive only just watched last day of the rally.Panizzi showed his big class with tactic-I donno how it would be look like in mitsubishi next year-its not that good as small peugeot...I predicted loebs win-he will be champion-no one can catch him.Burns/sainz are worse on tarmac,martin too big points gap between them.New generation quickly push the old guards out.

Come on! Pirelli is better on wet road. Peugeot and Citroën use Michelins.
It is a bit weird Peugeot and Citroën are PSA groups brands and they compete against each other.

The Sollberg performance was brilliant-first win on tarmac.And the championship points is totally overturned now so unappreciative sainz can win the title :)Old good Carlos-why not :)And sure Loeb and Martin made so stupid mistakes...

And not everybody is happy with the new points scale but FIA chiefs said the F1 interest is increased-and either i used to new scale-Im satisfied too more weak teams can get some points :)But minardi is so weak-didnt get even one point--sorry to them...

McRae is not driving next year so he can continue as a plumbing and heating engineer like he was before his WRC career.

Sainz's car stopped 100 m. before of the finish.... Makinnen realised he was champion when he arrived to Finland...

Petter Solberg is the World Rally Champion 2003. He won RAC rally. He got 72 points and Loeb only one point behind 71. Citroën won the constructors' championship. Solberg won 4 rallies this year. I hoped Loeb would have won but Solberg was a bit faster in the last rally.
Congratulations!
Tommi Mäkinen's last rally was good. He was third in Cardiff rally.

Yes. Peugeot wasn't satisfied with Rovanperä's results last season. He got 18 points in six rallies. I don't understand why Peugeot doesn't keep G. Panizzi. He has driven well.

Legendary Paris-Dakar rally will start on new year's day. Nowdays the rally's name is Telefónica Dakar rally. It is one of the longest rallies in the world. This year it's 11 052,5 kilometres long. It starts from Auvergne in France and ends to Dakar in Senegal.

Race of the Champions was bittersweet this year for Finns. Grönholm lost the final and Loeb won.
ROC was broadcasted in the beginning and the end of december eurosport.

Surprisingly, Colin McRae is taking part of Rally Paris-Dakar. He was 3th few days ago, but now I don't know if he continues in the rally... Anyway, rally Paris-Dakar is maybe the toughest and most dangerous competiton of cars and bikes.

McRae won the 13th stage of the rally. The four-time Dakar-rally winner Finnish Ari Vatanen retired. He hit a tree at high speed.
The rally ends on Sunday.

Yeah, Roma won! It's the first time that a spaniard win the Rally Paris Dakar! And Peterhansel has won both in cars(this year) and in bikes (a few years ago).

My favourites are of course Marcus Grönholm and his co-driver Timo Rautiainen and the new Peugeot 307 WRC! 307 WRC is the newest car and I think it's also the best and the fastest. Marcus won the championship 2000 and 2002. He wins every second year. lol
Loeb was fast last year and I think he will be fast this year too.

No colin no tommi no alister and many more.Many young drivers.My favourite?Only sollberg/loeb/martin/im not sure gronholm-but if the new car will be very fast he will join to favourites...

Old thread but now its rally of France again, Loeb have won all 8 stages this far, hes really impressing :shock: . www.wrc.com
Its fun that my place were I lives has something incommon with Alizées home, both places hosts a WRC competition :cheesy: It's f*cking amazing to stand 2 meters from a icy and snowy road when a WRC car comes roaring in 200km/h, it's a greeeat feeling! There are 2 happenings here when the kids dont have to go to school, thats when its the Swedish rally and the Moose-hunt :lol:
