Hi folks!

I've been lurking around on this forum for a long time and thought it might be about time to comment on a couple of things. I know these topics have probably been done to death previously, so bear with me.

First of all, Alizee's breast implants. Someone posted a picture of the operation scar in her armpit and that's enough evidence for me. Shame on Alizee; I wonder who talked her into that? Could it be the boyfriend or perhaps the manager? I was ever so saddened when I saw the J'en ai marre video for the first time and noticed that her puppies had grown remarkably. "She can't be that stupid", I thought to myself. I feel the love we all share for her, but it is still a shock to see she's still uncertain of herself and her gorgeous body. I mean, just look at that shapely waistline and that butt! My, oh my.

Secondly, am I the only one who thinks that every single one of the remixes available on Alizee's CD-singles are - to put it bluntly - bloody awful? I've done a few remixes for various artists, so I know what it takes to create a remix. The mixes for Alizee's songs have absolutely no effort put into them; someone has simply grabbed a generic drumloop out of a CD-ROM and put a fashionable house/trance bassline and chords on top of it. No effort, no feeling, no imagination: rubbish. I'm telling you folks, anyone on this forum could do the same with a PC and Sonic Foundry Acid.

Now, have you ever thought about why we all love Alizée so much? Yes, she's absolutely beautiful, but so are many other young pop stars. I couldn't care less about Britney Spears, for example. Yet it took only a single viewing of "Moi, Lolita" video, seen accidentally on French TV5 (shown for god-only-knows-why in Finland) and I was hooked. Someone tell my why?

Oh yeah, one more thing: Is that really Alizée singing "La Isla Bonita"? If yes, her pronounciation of English has definitely improved in leaps and bounds. Great; perhaps I don't need to learn French after all. :) Too bad she's still only doing playback. It makes me wonder if she's like Jennifer Lopez who can't sing live even if her life depended on it. (Did you see the live perfomance she tried a couple of years ago in a fashion awards show? It was sad beyond belief.)

cheers,

chunt

In response, I agree with you about the remixes, I have some friends who are into mixing and could have done 10 x's better but I just chalked it to 'I guess this is how the French like remixes'. Also, most popstars, like J.Lo as you mentioned, do the playback thing b/c, well, I don't know why. I guess that's an industry trend.

As for being hooked on Alizee and not other artists like Britney Spears, I think that Alizee has a sweet, innocent, 'just-look-at-me-and-try-not-to-like-me' aspect to her that makes her appealing. That, or there are subliminal messages in her music, and I'm not ruling that out. I'm not touching the breast implant comment-that's in a different topic in this forum.

I saw her video where she sings to a Dutch audience live in Amsterdam and she seemed fine and look confident so what's this talk of not singing live? Am i missing something???

And thanks Nikodemus.

Some artists lip sync in videos because the physical action is too demanding. Some of the perception of lip syncing might be due to a bad video. I had one where the sound was so far off the video, that I deleted it (as soon as I found the same song done in a different video). Has anyone who has seen her live agree that much or all of it is lip synced?

As far as the breast implants, women grow up. Where is the picture of the scar? Couldn't she have just developed as she grew? Show me two pictures a few months apart that show the significant change that couldn't be normal develpment.

I like some of the remixes. They are good because they are different. Some are too weird and don't sound like her at all.

I don't remember how I came to love her. One day I just realized that she was the most beautiful and stimulating woman on Earth. Lost, lost, lost. I am gone.

Hi folks!

I've been lurking around on this forum for a long time and thought it might be about time to comment on a couple of things. I know these topics have probably been done to death previously, so bear with me.

>> That I knew ;)

>> I don't really care about it :) hehe but it's true she was better without

>> I totally agree, I made some remixes as well (http://www.infoadvocaten.nl/djcpa/) here u can download them, and also those are just done by pc ... (kinda hard to make a real cool mix with only the pc)

(PS maybe u can contact me would be great to talk with someone with some more experience in mixing)

Now, have you ever thought about why we all love Alizée so much? Yes, she's absolutely beautiful, but so are many other young pop stars. I couldn't care less about Britney Spears, for example. >> Please never compare such beauty with beentje speers :P (a dutch duck reader will understand :P) besides let 'us lovers' in our value :) hehe and the reason why u got hooked... because it's Alizée .. one look at her and u see an amazing smile with eyes which split your mind :P

>> She has song this song herself, maybe not life but she song it herself before, you clearly can hear her accent and type of voice

cheers,

chunt
